SORSI MENTOR PROGRAM

Mentor Program

The SORSI Mentor Program was created to promote SOT® methods through a partnership between Doctors who are Certified in SOT® methods and students who are passionate about using and endorsing the knowledge and expertise of certified doctors

Bronze Mentor

A Bronze Mentor is interested in helping students become a Certified Practitioner of SOT® Methods and is an advocate for Dr. DeJarnette and the SOT® Methodology and continuance of such.

Bronze Mentor requirements

  1. Any Certified Chiropractic Doctor
  2. Membership in SORSI not required, although your membership is appreciated!
  3. Donations of any amount accepted.
    1. All donations are placed in a general Mentor Fund to be distributed at SORSI’s discretion to any interested Student.
  4. Sponsoring Doctors are not required to mentor the student beyond supporting them in their journey to participate and become Certified in SOT® techniques.

Recipients of this Mentor Program must complete the application process to be considered.

Silver Mentor

A Silver Sponsor is committed to be a Certified Practitioner of SOT® Methods and is an advocate for Dr. DeJarnette and the SOT® Methodology and continuance of such. Silver Mentors agree to mentor 1 or more students by paying for their registration for either the Mid-Year event attendance or the Homecoming Event.

Silver Mentor requirements

  1. Any Certified Chiropractic Doctor
  2. Current member of SORSI
  3. Sponsoring Doctors are required to meet the student and create a plan of mentorship for the event they are sponsoring. This could include attending a class together, meeting during lunches to discuss what they learned, creating a plan of implementation, or assisting them in their certification in SOT®
  4. Silver Mentors typically are Certified in SOT® Methods or are currently working towards certification.

Silver Mentors may self-select the student(s) they will mentor, or they can be assigned a student by SORSI.

Gold Mentor

A Gold Mentor is committed to be a Certified Practitioner of SOT® Methods and is an advocate for Dr. DeJarnette and the SOT® Methodology and continuance of such.

A Gold Mentor agrees to mentor 1 or more students by paying for their registration for both the Mid Year event attendance and the Homecoming Event.

Gold Mentor requirements

  1. Any Chiropractic Doctor who is certified at any level of SOT® Methods with the intention of becoming fully certified.
  2. Current member of SORSI
  3. Sponsoring Doctors are required to meet the student and create a plan of mentorship for the year they are being sponsored. This could include a plan for becoming certified in SOT® Methods, meeting via online, phone or in person to mentor and practice SOT® techniques, having the student shadow the sponsoring Mentor, and meeting with the student at the events.
  4. Bronze Mentors are committed to following the SOT® Methods as outlined by Dr. De Jarnette and insuring integrity in the use of SOT® Methods as documented in the International Manuals.

Gold Mentors may self-select the student(s) they will mentor, or they can be assigned a student by SORSI.  The Mentor sponsorship is renewable every year.

Platinum Mentor

A Platinum Mentor is committed to be a Certified Practitioner of SOT® Methods and is an advocate for Dr. DeJarnette and the SOT® Methodology and continuance of such.

A Platinum Mentor agrees to mentor 1 or more students by paying for their registration for both the Mid-Year event attendance and the Homecoming Event and working with them on a personal level to assist them in becoming successful Certified Practitioners of SOT® Methods.

Platinum Mentor requirements

  1. Any Chiropractic Doctor who is certified at any level of SOT® Methods with the intention of becoming fully certified.
  2. Current member of SORSI
  3. Sponsoring Doctors are required to meet the student and create a plan of mentorship for the year they are being sponsored. This could include a plan for becoming certified in SOT® Methods, meeting via online, phone or in person to mentor and practice SOT® techniques, having the student shadow the sponsoring Mentor, and meeting with the student at the events.
  4. Platinum Mentors are committed to following the SOT® Methods as outlined by Dr. De Jarnette and insuring integrity in the use of SOT® Methods as documented in the International Manuals.

Platinum Mentors may self-select the student(s) they will mentor, or they can be assigned a student by SORSI. It is expected that this mentor program will be in force until the student has graduated from college and achieved one or more levels of certification in SOT® Methods.

International Students

International Students are eligible for both the SORSI SOT® Methods Scholarships and Mentor programs.  However, monies will first be distributed to US students.  Doctors wishing to sponsor an international student must first sponsor a US student.
